Rev. Tony L. Key began as pastor on January 1, 2011 and his first Sunday on January 2. We welcome Brother Tony and Mrs. Sherry to the fellowship of Woodland.
The music director works with the pastor, deacon chairman, and pianist to have music and praise worthy of worship. The director from time to time may have special music performed worthy of worship. All requests should be directed to the music director.
The deacon chairman is the official representative of the congregation of Woodland Baptist Church when the pastor is not present in all matters and serves for one year. All matters should be brought to his attention that are not assigned to the pastor.
The church clerk maintains membership files, church property usage and files, authorizes church usage by others, and updating the church calendar. Clerk records church minutes of all meetings.
Treasurer maintains church financial records and makes reports to the church.
The pianist performs music that is worthy of worship and shall seek direction from the music director and pastor.
The secretary is responsible for ordering church materials and other duties assigned.
The Sunday School Director manages the Sunday School staff and periodically will hold training sessions for the staff. Staff is to adhere to polices setforth in Sunday School.
The Vacation Bible School Director will manage and assign qualified staff for the operation of the Bible school. The director will set the date, time, and place for the annual Vacation Bible School.
The WMU director is the women's leader in missions endeavors and giving.
The brotherhood director is the men's leader in mission activities.
The historian maintains the records provided for securing the church history. The historian must also work with the Georgia Baptist Convention Historian, Kilpatick Baptist Association Historian, associational missionary, association moderator, and association secretary.
